Geez A Choon - Music Residential

Over two separate residencies with Geez A Choon, I had the opportunity to document young musicians, artists, and bands as they came together to write, collaborate, and learn in the surroundings of Telford Manor.


The residencies created space for creativity to grow naturally, from late-night jam sessions and songwriting workshops to quiet moments of reflection between rehearsals. My focus was to document the atmosphere honestly and unobtrusively, capturing not just performances, but the process behind the music: the friendships formed, the experimentation, and the energy that comes from creating something together.


Through photography and documentary storytelling, I wanted to preserve the feeling of the residencies as they unfolded, the warmth of shared spaces, the intensity of creative focus, and the excitement of young artists developing their craft in a supportive environment.


These projects combined my love for documentary photography with music and community, allowing me to create a visual story that feels authentic to the people and the experience itself.
